ReadToMe ("we", "our", "the app") is a children's storybook reader app. We take your family's privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. This is used solely for authentication.
Camera Data: The app uses your device's camera to scan book pages. Camera frames are processed on-device using Apple's Vision framework for text recognition. Raw camera images are never stored or transmitted to any server.
Recognized Text: Text recognized from book pages is sent to our servers for processing (cleaning and text-to-speech conversion). This text is not stored after processing is complete.
Subscription Data: Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information.
Usage Data: We track daily page counts to enforce usage limits. This data is stored in your account and is not shared with third parties.
ReadToMe is designed for use by children with parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The account (email and password) should be created by a parent or guardian. The app does not include advertising, social features, or tracking.
Recognized text is processed in real-time and not stored after the audio is generated. Account data (email and usage counts) is retained while your account is active. You may request account deletion by contacting us at the email below, and we will delete all associated data within 30 days.
All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. Authentication tokens are managed by Firebase Auth with industry-standard security practices.
